Our last stop in Northern Greece was Drosero, in Xanthi. There, in less than 7 hours, we managed to clinically examine 71 children, and vaccinating 54 of them with a total of 104 vaccines.
The initiative took place after a request from the Cultural Educational Association of Roma Women of Drosero Xanthis, “I Elpida”. The presence of our 7 medical volunteers, including the Director of Pediatrics in Xanthi’s General Hospital, was crucial in this initiative, as well as the assistance from 10 students from the Public Vocational School for Nursing Assistants of the Xanthi General Hospital.
We will continue to stand with social responsibility next to the minority population and support their needs, for their children to be equally included in school and society.
