Our Volunteer awarded with the Young Courage Award 2025

young courage award 2025

“This award would not have existed without you, without your guidance, your organization and your vision for a more humane society.”

These are the words of our volunteer, Cleo Sarafidis, who won the Young Courage Award 2025 from the Raoul Wallenberg Academy and the Swedish Institute in Stockholm.

The Young Courage Award is given to young people aged 13-20, who are distinguished for their moral and political courage in fighting injustice, inequality and other challenges.

Cleo’s candidacy was based on her participation as a student-volunteer in the program “Improving the lives of seniors III”  in 2024-2025.

As she reflects on the meetings with the seniors and the company she offered them with her team: “This experience left a deep mark on me, it taught me the importance of human contact, empathy and intergenerational solidarity. Thanks to my collaboration with the organization Mission ANTHROPOS, I was able to experience the joy of giving and share this experience with people who really needed it.”

We are proud of our volunteers and what they achieve with us!
