Are you a General High School or IB student looking to join a volunteer program? Do you want to take a break from studying and engage in a creative, team-based activity? Do you want to give back to the community, develop new skills, and create a positive social impact?
Join a six-month volunteering and active community engagement program designed for young people aged 15–17!
The initiative is aimed at individuals who wish to commit to a meaningful volunteer experience. For IB students, the program offers an excellent opportunity to participate in activities that align with the goals, learning outcomes, and philosophy of CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).
The “Improving the Life of Seniors IV” program.
Through regular visits to Care Homes for the Elderly, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers, plan and implement recreational activities, develop communication and leadership skills, and offer joy, companionship, and meaningful support to older people over a six-month period. During this time, you will get to know the seniors, learn from them, and cultivate skills together!
For participation in the program, a basic knowledge of Greek is required.
Program Information:
-Duration: November 2026 – April 2027
-In-person visits to the Care Homes (for students in Attica & Thessaloniki) or online participation (from across Greece)
-8–10 meetings with elderly residents at a fixed day and time (1–2 meetings per month)
-Fixed volunteer groups (high school students & adult coordinators)
-Online preparatory meetings and allocation of roles among team members
How to apply:

-We’ll conduct an online interview (to see if you are a good fit for the role)
-You‘ll be assigned to a team based on the day, time, and mode of participation that suit you.
-You’ll sign the Volunteer Declaration (co-signed by a parent/guardian) and the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
