Service-Learning is a methodology in which students, using their knowledge, offer to society while learning at the same time.
A group of 4 students of MSc Physiology of Aging and Geriatric Syndromes joined our program “Improving the lives of Seniors II”, shared their experience in the video competition and qualified together with another program to represent NKUA in a European competition for Service-Learning programs at CIVIS universities.
Many congratulations to the participating students and especially to the student Athina Koukiou, who was tasked to present the program to the independent 6-member committee of the University.
A big thank you also to the rest of the partners of the program, the Center for Geriatric Assessment of the Henry Dunant Hospital Center, the director of the MSc Professor P. Sfikakis, the Program Manager Mrs. E. Kravvariti, and of course all the cooperating Care Homes!
Good luck to our team in Bucharest!
